Anthony, Texas is a unique town that has gained worldwide
recognition as the Leap Year Capital of the World.
It all started in 1988 when two Leap babies, Brown and her neighbor Birdie Lewis, came up with the idea of a leap year festival to promote the town and boost its economy. Today, the town attracts visitors from all over the world who come to celebrate born on Leap Day.
